The WHU Case Challenge
24 Hours - 12 Teams - 1 Case Study - 1 Winner
The WHU Case Challenge is an international competition that takes place at the campus of the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar since 1997. Teams of students studying at the world’s best business schools compete during the event in solving a challenging case study.
During the two-day event the teams are offered the opportunity to network with other participants and corporate representatives and to compete for the best strategies.

The last Case Challenge dealt with the issue ‘Fighting for Resources - Managing Supply in Changing Markets’. From March 5th to March 7th 2009 students from all over the world met in Vallendar to compete in an exciting competition.
Being selected out of over 400 applications, 12 teams from all over Europe were accepted to participate in the solution of a demanding case study focusing on water management in Tanzania.
After an impressive final round the team “KC/DC” with students from the WHU, the Norwegian School of Business and the University of Edinburgh was able to stand up to their competitors and won the competition. The team „Purple“ from the University of Darmstadt finished second, while the third place went to team “HSG Con” consisting of students from the University of St. Gallen. More details
